An abstract noun describes the action, state or a quality. They are basically the things which we cannot touch or see or in other words, they are not visible.

In terms of quality, the abstract noun will be goodness, kindness, wisdom, courage.

In terms of action, the abstract noun will be movement, judgment, laughter.

In terms of state, the abstract noun will be poverty, death, sleep.

An abstract noun is the combination of adjectives, verbs, and common nouns.

If we will have to find an abstract noun from an adjective then for example:

Kindness will be an abstract noun from the word kind.

If we will have to find an abstract noun from a verb then for example:

Growth will an abstract noun from the word grow.

And from common noun Childhood will be an abstract noun from the word child.

So the abstract nouns for the following words will be:

Pleasent: Pleasantness
Healthy: Health
Deep: depth
Poor: poverty
Sincere: sincerity
Proud: pride
Joyful: joy
