Given,

AC = 8 cm

(diagonal)

BD = 14 cm

(diagonal)

CD= 8 cm (side)

→ AB = 8 cm (opposite sides of a parallelogram are of equal length)

Steps of construction:

Draw a line segment AB with a scale of 8 cm.

From point A draw a line segment of 8 cm.

From point B draw a line segment of 14 cm.

Join the other ends of lines drawn from points A and B such that, the line is parallel to line AB

Mark the end points as C and D. Hence the required parallelogram ABCD.
