One thing I noticed missing from all the previous answers about Alternating Current (AC) power is that AC is the only means of transferring information electrically. DC does not change, so no information can be conveyed. Only AC will allow for information exchange. Now someone will say that pulsed DC allows for data transfer but that means the signal is changing which is essentially AC. Alternating current is not always a sine wave. Any signal other than pure DC should be considered AC. Your phone, stereo, and TV use AC. Most everything you use relies on AC, so the uses of alternating current are virtually endless.

AC current stands for Alternating current.
This current is blinking current which blinks within miniseconds to which we can't observe from nacked eyes.
common application.........
household wiring.......
as if by chance we touch our household wire then it gives us a shock and we remove our hand back fastly. it is that duration in which current is not getting supplied .
I HOPE IT IS HELPFUL TO YOU...
