During the french revolution we see that women were directly involved in many major events that took place like the storming of Bastille, The October days of 1789, The Reign of terror, and bread riots throughout the revolution
Women formed many women-only clubs such as the Le-Amies de la Vertie and the revolutionary Republican clubs lead by Olympe-de Gouges.
Women participate in revolution more than anyone in that time would have imagined possible. Their role was instrumental in the fate of revolution.
Women did struggle for a very long time but eventually gained success, right to vote and most importantly right to live like any other man.
