When we react Benzyl Chloride which is a Benzene ring with CH2Cl in the presence of Ethanolic NaCN and –NaCl then it will give benzene ring with the CH2CN.

Then, it will be reacted with the H2/Ni giving 2-Phenylethanamine which is Benzene ring along with the CH2CH2NH2 compound as the output.
