CO2 is used in case of fires involving liquefied
gases. It is termed as Class B & C fires.
This will help the fire to extinguish by forming a snow. The weight of the fire extinguisher should be
checked constantly and should be refilled if found the loss of gas is more than
10 per cent. The Bureau of Indian
Standards has set a number of rules with regard to this. The main principle is that a fire
extinguisher is available at immediate distance and in plenty.

Well for the fires from the liquefied gases "CO2 fire extinguishers " Should be used
These types of extinguishers contain the liquid carbon dioxide which is a non-flammable gas under pressure . Upon releasing this gas makes the form of snow which displace the air or exclude the air from or around fire result in stopping of fire as the oxygen for the fire don't available any more.
Moreover if found hazard due to liquefied flammable gases the dry chemical fire extinguishers can also be used
