As per the census of 2011, the most spoken language in India was Hindi.
It was 41.03% in the year 2001, and then it rose to 43% by 2011.
Coming to the second most spoken language in India, it is Bangla or Bengali.
And the third one was Telugu, which actually replaced Marathi as the third language.
