1.  The king didn't allow colonists to make their own laws.

2.  They were denied natural rights which are inalienable.

3.  The colonists were not allowed to freely trade with other parts of the world.

4.  The colonists were surrounded by standing armies in times of peace without their consent.

5.  The king plundered seas and coasts and destroyed the lives of people.
