(i) The excerpt is about the inner feelings of the Old Man, he feels Sad about himself about his pathetic condition and the People, Children’s kept him Ignored or Neglected for the whole Time.
(ii) When the Old Man Smiles at the passersby he wanted to talk to them. But No one Notice him and not a Single person responds to his Plight. The People and Children were so Busy that they cannot Wait for atleast 1 Second. They think the Old Man is Nothing and they appear to be afraid to greet him to say atleast ‘Hi’.
(iii) The old people should be treated Sympathetically and deserve to be respected and treated with Honor. They should not be Teased or Laughed at and we should Share our feelings with them and follow their Suggestions. If we treat the Old People as mentioned above they will never feel as Neglected. The attitude to Old people is that “OLD PEOPLE DON’T NEED OUR SYMPATHY, THEY NEED OUR RESPECT AND WE OWN THEM THAT RESPECT!”
