According to you, what would be the reasons for and against supporting the British in the World War II?

India supported Britain during World War 2 because the most of the powerful Congress leaders at the time thought this move would help get India Independence.

Besides, influential leaders like Gandhi thought the Nazis had attacked Poland & weren’t treating them very well. So, they chose democracy over totalitarianism. Other leaders like Subhash Chandra Bose thought India should take advantage of the situation & deny aid to the British & instead help the Axis to weaken London’s stance
