"Bahadur Shah Zafar was famous as the last Mughal emperor. He was also often referred to as Bahadur Shah II. He reigned for 20 years. During which he fought strongly against the British rulers in the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

His greatest achievement was that he was the fairest Mughal Emperor. He took great care to ensure that the Hindus are treated like any other Muslim in his empire. He thought that it was his duty to respect and protect all religions equally.

Another achievement of Bahadur Shar Zafar was his contribution towards literature. Bhadur Shar ZafarII was a great poet and a Sufi musician. A wide range of ghazals was written by him. His court was flourished with several renowned Urdu writers of his time like Dagh, Mumin Mirza Ghalib, and Zauq. Bahadur Shar Zafar II contributed tremendously towards the Urdu poetic literature.
