What were Euclid's achievements to mathematics?

Euclid major work is his "Elements" or as known later Euclidean Geometry.He collected the work of many mathematicians who preceded him. Among these were Hippocrates of Chios, Theudius, Theaetetus, and Eudoxus.

He gather, compile, organize, and rework the mathematical concepts of his predecessors into a consistent whole, later to become known as Euclidean geometry.

Euclid used a deductive method where deductions were made of axioms.

This axiomatic system that was used to organize and expand Euclidean Geometry was used as a scientific method until the 17th century.

Thats why i think that his main achievement aside the Geometry was his axiomatic method to build knowledge based on axioms.
