see we know water has two radicals
h+ and Oh-
as u said no doubt h+ shows that the substance is acidic
one thing to be noted is OH-is found in bases or alkali
so logically water has both acidic and basic reperesenting radicals which neutralised each others effect so water is a neutral neither acidic nor basic substance
hope it is clear I have made my own reasoning and very well asked frnd
hope it is not wrong and helps you frnd
