D) Metals react with acids if acids are stored in metallic containers.
- Acids are stored in glass container and not in metallic containers because metals react with acids if acids are stored in metallic containers. And they will form oxides of metals.
- Whenever a metal is put in a acid or acid in metal, it gets under chemical reactions. Bubbles can be seen during this process.
- When metals are reacted with acids they result in formation of salt and hydrogen.
- e.g. Magnesium+ hydrochloric acid= Magnesium chloride+ hydrogen gas.
- And this happens always when a acid reacts with metal.
- Acids can't react with glass bottles. So, they are kept in these bottles.
