it's a story written by premchand  which tells us that justice neither looks friend nor enemies. When alagu was the head panch, he did not take the side of his friend because he was unable to do so as god lives inside the panch who goes with the justice and again after 2 years when jumman was the head panch he did justice by saying that algu has to be paid the appropriate amout for what he has sold.
