Its true that acquired traits do not contribute in evolution because- Acquired traits are experienced by an individual during his lifetime, Secondly, these traits involve changes in non reproductive cells (somatic cells) which are not transferred to germ cells(sex cells).

  2. They do not introduced change in the genes.
  3. They are not transferred to germs cell or gametes to be passed on to next generation.
