Option C)  prevention of ovulation, fertilization and implantation only.

Actually the purpose of contraception is preventing ovulation, fertilization, implantation and rapid passing of eggs in the oviduct fallopian tube. BUT NOT by abortion.

Justification :

Contraception is meant for preventing an unwanted pregnancy. Different methods of contraceptive methods exist. There are highly efficient chemical methods too such as “The Morning-After-Pill” (within 72 hours) and Mifepriston-RU486 (within 49 days).

Contraceptives can act in three ways and levels as follows:

**   Hinder ovulation.

**  Obstruct the sperm and oocytes from meeting – in the transport through fallopian tube.

**  Stop fertilization by interference, or stop the implantation of the fertilized oocytes in the uterus.
