Removal of a segment surgically and ligation of cut ends of vas deferens is known as

B ) Vasectomy   - most probably

This is mainly done on men. The vas deferens is cut and the two ends are tied to close the passage of male semen into urethra passage.  Thus fertilization is prevented.  Vasectomy is a very fail-safe sterilization process.

Castration is the process surgically or otherwise, in which the male testicles or female ovaries are removed.

Tubectomy is the sterilization process for women in which the fallopian tubes are clamped and closed (blocked).  Or, the tube is cut and folded back and closed. The purpose is to prevent the ova/eggs from reaching the uterus for implantation.  This is considered a safe process.

Gonadectomy is the surgical process of castration to remove the testicles in men. This is usually done when men become women through sex reassignment surgery.
