Active voice is a voice in which we speaks something simply as...
He is writing a letter.

But in passive voice we have to apply rule as...
A letter is being written by him.

RULES OF CHANGING ACTIVE TO PASSIVE VOICE ARE...

1. Subject takes place of object and object takes place of subject.

2. Tense will not be changed.

3. 'By' preposition will be used.

4. Always verb 3rd form will be used.

All the tenses have their own rules to change into passive.
