In the statement of active voice, there is a mistake. Here, a is omitted. That means, we write in this way----

I am eating mangoes.

We are given two sentences one is in Active voice and another is in passive voice. We are expected to correct the sentences.

  • In the Active voice sentence, the article "a" is used wrongly because "a" is used before the singular noun whereas "mangoes" is a plural noun. Hence, the sentence will be "I am eating mangoes".

  • In the Passive voice sentence, the sentence is correct "Mangoes are being eaten by me".

  • In a sentence, if the subject of the sentence is the doer of the action, it is said to be in the active voice.

  • In a sentence, if the subject of the sentence is the recipient of the action, it is said to be in the passive voice.

Hence,

Active voice--- I am eating mangoes

Passive voice--- Mangoes are being eaten by me.
