Question:-
Active voice to passive voice:-
Do not insult the poor.
Answer:-
Let not the poor be insulted by you.
When we change an active voice which is in imperative sentence into passive voice, we follow this structure:-
- Let + object + be + past participle + by + subject
Note that, we are not actually given the object in the sentence. But in imperative sentence, the object is always assumed "you"
But if the sentence is in negative imperative then the structure becomes:-
- Let + not + object + be + past participle + by + subject
❖Some examples:-
- Active Voice: Do your homework.(Subject) + (verb) + (object).
Passive Voice: Let your homework be done by you.(Object) + (auxiliary verb) + (past participle) + (by) +(subject).
- Complete your duties.
Passive :- Let your duties be completed by you.
- Do not open the window.
Passive:- Let not the window be opened by you.
