Zn + H₂SO₄ --------→ ZnSO₄ + H₂
This Reaction is used for the Preparation of the Hydrogen. Although It is not the Laboratory Preparation since Hydrogen is Prepared by the Bosch Process in the Laboratory.
In this Reaction, Zinc Sulphate is formed which is Chalky white in color due to the reaction of the Zinc with dilute sulphuric acid. Hydrogen gas is evolved with the Pop sound.
This Reaction is also known as the Displacement Reaction. In this Reaction Hydrogen is Displaced by the Zinc.
