Activity of all hydrogen containing compounds are not acidic

Let us take two compounds containing Hydrogen,

1. Glucose ( C₆H₁₂O₆)

2. Hydrochloric acid(HCl)

>Now, we have to dissolve both compounds in water

>Now, we have to place 2 graphite electrodes in glucose solution and connect them to battery. The same has to set up for dilute HCl also

>As the circuit is closed, we can see bubbles in the cathode immersed in HCl whereas we cant observe this in glucose solution

> This happens as HCl acts as an electrolyte because it produces free H+ ions when dissolved in water whereas the glucose  cant produce H+ ions in water. So glucose which has hydrogen  doesnt show this property of acids as it doesnt act like an electrolyte.

> This suggests that all hydrogen containing compounds are not acidic
