You can separate salt and water from a technique called crystallisation.

You first take water in a container and start to boil ot at low heat. while the solution is mildly heated mix salt in water with constant stirring. Stop mixing it when no more salt is dissolved. You can also dissolve salt first and then heat, it's same.

After the solution reached the saturation point you will see white residue like tiny crystals formed in walls of container. Drop 1 thread into the solution with a support and leave it undisturbed for 4 to 5 days. More the number of days you will get much bigger and better crystals. Take the thread out, you will have with you salt crystals and water will be left in the container.
