Here we have to add 2p(3q – 7) and 5q(8p + 4)

This can be written as

2p(3q – 7) + 5q(8p + 4)

Now, first we will solve the bracket and then we will add

2p(3q – 7) + 5q(8p + 4) = 6pq - 14p + 40pq + 20q

= 46pq - 14p + 20q

Hence, the addition of 2p(3q – 7) and 5q(8p + 4) will give 46pq - 14p + 20q
