Explanation:

Initially the copper sulphate crystals(CuSO4.5H2O) contain 5 molecules of water.. when heated it looses water and turns into anhydrous copper sulphate.so initially the copper sulphate crystals which is blue in color when it has water molecules turns into white anhydrous copper sulphate by loosing water molecules.
