Add appropriate question tags to the following statements:

a. Rohit is deceiving us.

b. This was not purchased last year.

c. Jyoti works very hard.

d. We all enjoyed ourselves a lot during the tour.​

b. This was not purchased last year, was this?

c. Jyoti works very hard, doesn't she?

d. We all enjoyed ourselves a lot during the tour , didn't we?

  • Question tags are always to be applied in the end of the statement .

  • Question tag will be negative if the sentence is positive and vice-versa.

  • Question tag's first word ie after comma should be always small .

  • Comma after a sentence and before tag is even mandatory .

  • After question tag , question mark is even mandatory.

  • Example -

1. I'm going to choose science stream.

=> I'm going to choose science stream , ain't I?

2. He loves burger.

=> He loves burger, doesn't he?

3. I'm not going to quit.

=> I'm not going to quit, am I?

4. He wrote an essay.

=> He wrote an essay, didn't he?

  • A negative statement takes Positive tag.
