The answer is 36.

Explanation:

From the question, titla no. of chess pieces are 32. 16 from each side of the chess players.

32 = all no. of chess piece.

The total no. of arms of an octopus is 8.

We, know that the total no. of years in a decade is 10. So, \

                                       ⇒ \frac{2}{5} of the decade = \frac{2}{5} \times 10

                                                           = 4

So, the answer will be 32 + 8 - 4 which is equal to 36.
