Hey friend...!!!

let the number be x
so,
2x - 4 = 25/6
2x = 25/6 + 4
2x = ( 25 + 24)/6
2x = 49/6
x = 49/( 6 * 2)
x = 49/ 12
x = 4.083

hope it helps...!!!

Greetings..!

Let the number be x .

ATP, 4 is added to 2x to make 26/5.

⇒2x+4 = 26/5

⇒2x = (26/5) - 4 {transposing 4 to RHS}

⇒2x = (26-20)/5

⇒x = 6/5*1/2=3/5

Answer : Hence, the required fraction is 3/5
