Adem is 20 years younger than Brian. In two years brian will be twice as old as adam. How old are they now?

At present

Let Adem age = x years

Brian age = ( x + 20 ) years

after two years ,
____________

Adem age = ( x + 2 ) years

Brian age = ( x + 20 + 2 )

= ( x + 22 ) years

according to the problem given ,

x + 22 = 2 ( x + 2 )

x + 22 = 2x - 4

22 + 4 = 2x - x

26 = x

Therefore ,

at present ,

Adem age = x = 26 years

Brian age = x + 2 = 26 + 2 = 28 years
