Answer: The fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan .

Explanation:

Adi Granth Sahib was composed by the fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan on 30th August in the year 1604 . Adi Granth means "the first book". It is considered as the Holy Scripture of the Sikhs.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru added holy Shabads to Adi Granth  between 1704 to 1706. During 1708  before he left for heavenly abode he declared the Adi Granth as the eternal Guru of the Sikhs  which was later known as the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. It is the only holy scripture which was written by the founder of the religion during their lifetime.

The Adi Granth Sahib original copy still remains intact and is preserve at Kartarpur town which lies nearly 15 kms north west of the city of Jalandhar ,Punjab, India.

Hope this helps.
