Principal = ₹21,000

Rate of Interest = 12 whole 1 upon 2% per annum = 25/2 % per annum

Time = 8 months = 8/12 = 2/3 years

Simple Interest = P × R × T/100

= 21,000×25×2/ 2×100×3

= ₹1,750

Amount = Principal + Simple Interest

= ₹(21,000+1,750)

= ₹22,750

Hence, Aditya should pay back ₹22,750 to clear his debt.
