Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Adjecent sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 1:3 their perimeter is 88cm.

To find:-

Find the length of those side ?

Solution:-

Ratio of the adjacent sides of the paralellogram is 1:3

Let they be X cm and 3X cm

we know that

Opposite sides are equal in a Parallelogram

So remaining sides are X cm and 3X

So the four sides are X cm , 3X cm , X cm , 3X cm

Perimeter = Sum of all sides

=>Perimeter = X+3X+X+3X

=>Perimeter = 8X cm

According to the given problem

Perimeter of the Parallelogram = 88 cm

=>8X = 88

=>X = 88/8

=>X = 11 cm

=>3X = 3(11) = 33 cm

Therefore, sides are 11 cm , 33 cm,11 cm,33 cm

Answer:-

The four sides are 11 cm , 33 cm , 11 cm , 33 cm

Used formulae:-

  • Opposite sides are equal in a Parallelogram
  • Perimeter = Sum of all sides
