Adolescence is indeed a period of disorientation and discoveries. Parental role is of vital importance at this stage in guiding young adolescents through a period in which significant physiological and anatomical changes take place. The young experience a period of transition with the onset of puberty as they gradually break into adulthood.
Growth of hair on the body, the beginning of growth of facial hair, unconscious ejaculation during sleep and a sexual desire develop in boys with changes brought about by the action of hormones. Similarly, girls experience enlargement of their breasts, the beginning of menstruation and a sexual desire.
