ADVANTAGES OF SYNTHETIC FIBRE

1. MOST SYNTHETIC FIBRE HAVE GOOD ELASTICITY.

2. MOST FABRIC MADE FROM SYNTHETIC FIBRE DON'T WRINKLE EASILY.

3. FABRIC MADE FROM SYNTHETIC FIBRE ARE GENERALLY MORE DURABLE.

4. THEY ARE LESS EXPENSIVE / CHEAP.

5. SYNTHETIC FIBRE ARE MORE READILY AVAILABLE THAN THOSE OF NATURAL FIBRE.

6. MOST SYNTHETIC FIBRES CAN HANDLE HEAVY LOAD WITHOUT BREAKING.

DISADVANTAGES OF SYNTHETIC FIBRES

1. MOST FABRIC MADE FROM SYNTHETIC FIBRE REQUIRES CAREFULLY IRONING.

2. THEY MELT EASILY AND CAN CAUSE SKIN DAMAGE.

3. MOST FABRICS MADE FROM SYNTHETIC FIBRE ABSORB VERY LITTLE MOISTURE.

4. THEY BECOMES STICKY WHEN THE BODY SWEET, THIS MAKE THEM UNCOMFORTABLE TO WEAR.

5. MOST FABRIC MADE FROM SYNTHETIC FIBRE CATCH FIRE EASILY. THEREFORE, IT IS DANGEROUS TO WEAR THEM NEAR A SOURCE OF FIRE.

ADVANTAGES OF SYNTHETIC FIBRES :-

♥ Synthetic fibers have good elasticity .

♥ They don’t wrinkle up easily .

♥ Fabrics made from these fibres are less expensive , durable and readily available in comparison to natural fibers .

♥ Synthetic fibers can handle the heavy load without breaking .

♥ They are very absorbent .

DISADVANTAGES OF SYNTHETIC FIBRES :-

♥ Synthetic fibers require attention while ironing since they tend to melt away easily .

♥ Most of these fibres absorb very little . So , they stick to the body while sweating on hot summer days . Thus, making it uncomfortable to wear during such days .

♥ Synthetic fibers are prone to catch fire very easily .

♥ These fibres are non-biodegradable .
