Advantage and disadvanthage of electro-coagulation

The capital and operating costs are usually significantly less than chemical coagulation. It is not unusual to recover capital costs in less than one year. For example a 5 GPM system contrasts the advantages of Electrocoagulation with a typical chemical coagulation system.
disadvantages :-
1)regular replacement of sacrificial anode used in EC is necessary since the anode dissolved into solution.
2)in some areas where electricity isn't abundant,the operating cost of EC can be expensive.
