Terrestrial animal have advantage over aquatic animals because they live oxgyen rich environment which means they have more and better oxygen supply than aquatic animals. Aquatic animals takes oxygen which is diffuse in water but the rate of oxygen in water is low thus there breathing rate is much faster than terrestrials animals

Terrestrial organism have more oxygen available in the atmosphere but for an aquatic organism they can get oxygen in the dissolved form in the water only. that is they get less oxygenwhen compared to Terrestrial organisms
