SRS stands for Software Requirement Specification. Document is used to describe the behavior of the software system, functional and non-functional requirements of the software system.  

Advantages of SRS :

• A standard quality of SRS reduces the development cost.
• It should contain all features requested by a client.

• It makes testing easier.
• It defines project scope.  

Disadvantages of SRS:

• SRS should not contain any design requirement or design detail.

• It required pictures, tables, charts (bar, worm, etc…).
