Advantages of fibre optic cable over twisted pair and coaxial cable

As fiber optic signal is made of light, very little signal loss occurs during transmission than twisted pair. Also it can travel at much higher speed and cover a large distance. Now a days 100-Gigabit Ethernet is available with SMFfiber with 100 Gbps speed and 40 km range, of course impossible using twisted pair.
