See reeds also have a filteration system in their stems . They are also not useful for farming or any other activities. Instead they are plugged out of the field . They are found everywhere in a garden so when we pluck them out they are placed in the water and their speed of procuring water is more faster than other plants so they give us some good use.

The use of a reed bed produces a secondary treated effluent that allows owners to better utilize (Section 6) their wastewater than if it were only primary treated. Reed bed effluent can percolate easier into the soil because it has reduced BOD and suspended solids. It also poses less of a risk to human health.
