and fathers age be. x + 25

after 8yr their will be 13:8

hence,

(x + 25 + 8) / (x + 8) = 13 / 8

(x + 33) / (x + 8) = 13/8

8(x + 33) = 13(x + 8)

8x + 264 = 13x + 104

13x - 8x = 264 - 104

5x = 160

x = 32

son age = x = 32years

father's age = x + 25 = 32 +25 = 57years
