✨With the passing of the 73rd and the 74th Constitutional Amendment
Acts, the democratic system has been deepened and strengthened through the local
bodies.

✨Article 243-ZD provides for the constitution of a District Planning Committee which
is mandated to consolidate the plans prepared by the three tiers of the Panchayath Raj
System and the municipalities in the district and to prepare a draft development plan
for the whole district.
