this is a tricky but east question

the solution is......

let son be x

AND FATHER BE Y

average = sum of observations/no.of observations

ACQ,

   X+5 + Y +5/2 = 30

X+Y+10=30*2

X +Y+10=60

X+Y = 60-10

X+Y=50

HENCE THE sum of the present ages IS 50
