Yes, Tricki was very happy to go home. When the dog was brought into the surgery,he was ill. But in spite of that the dog got cured in two days without any medication. The doctor provided proper diet to Tricki and regular exercise also helped a lot in his speedy recovery.At the Surgery, the household dogs surged around Dr Herriot, and Tricki looked silently at them lying motionless on the carpet. For two days, Dr Herriot kept an eye on Tricki and gave him no food but plenty of water. Next day, the doctor was pleased to see Tricki jostling his way to his food bowl.Herriot took Tricki to his surgery and stopped giving him the unhealthy food items which Mrs. Pumphrey had been giving him to eat. He put Tricki on a diet and left him to play with other dogs in the shelter. To save Tricki and bring him back to good health, he had to even lie to Mrs.Tricki's problem was the pampering attitude of Mrs. Pumphrey, his owner. In her affection and love for her pet, she gave her sweet food, Horlicks, cream cakes, chocolates, etc. as many times as the dog demanded.
