After attaining puberty girls are prone to get pregnant....A teen girl don't use contraceptive devices like adults use like IUCD, copper-T..... Then how they are protected to pregnancy.......? What is science behind it...? Question from AIIMS preparation book...... Please answer if you know....... I will respect your answer.....

if the girl isn't using barrier methods and IUCDs then she might be solely relying on natural methods ( having intercourse on safe days of her menstrual cycle, or withdrawal method) however they are not so reliable there is high risk for the girl to get pregnant. Another way is taking oral pills.

Another method is also there , tubectomy , but its quite illogical for a teen girl to do that , however this is a permanent action to stop pregnancy.


PMMODIINDIA: But teenagers don't use it.... I know about above methods... What about girls of 15-16?....
