The first step towards getting an operator’s license is to pass the learner license test.

Once this test is successfully cracked one has to pass the driving skills test, along with it one must also have 50 hours of documented driving and 10 hours of night driving to his/her credit to get an operator’s license.

"After earning a learner’s license, a driving skill test must be successfully passed to earn an operator’s license.

Once a person who has earned a learner’s license from the authority, they have to apply for the driving skill test. It is a test in which the driver and BMV examiner will travel in one vehicle. The driver has to drive vehicles following the norms of road safety which he had learned.

The BMV examiner will assess the ability of the driver based upon certain criteria and the result will be declared by him. If the driver passes the driving skill test he will earn the operator’s license."
