20 % profit  if only 10% discount is given , if After giving a discount of 33.33%, there is a loss of 11.11%

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say Marked Price = M

& Cost Price = C

Discount of 33.33%

Hence discount = M/3

Selling Price = M - M/3 = 2M/3

Loss of 11.11%

Loss = C/9

Selling Price = C - C/9   = 8C/9

=> 2M/3 = 8C/9

=> M = 4C/3

if 10% Discount is given selling Price = M - M/10  = 9M/10

Profit = 9M/10  - C

= 9 *4C/30  - C

= 6C/30

= C/5

Profit % = 100 * (C/5)/C = 20%

20 % profit
