After independence, Sri Lanka witnessed the supremacy of the Sinhala community.
There traditional dress is Sarong and Kandyan. Sinahlis culture came from the North India, most probably Bengal.
They live in central, western and southern parts of Sri Lanka.

During the British rule, the Tamil community gained much favors and rose to prominence but after the independence the Sinhalese witnessed superman.
