After Independence, the forest department of the government of India, ignoring the needs of common people , introduced monoculture of teak, pine and eucalyptus in the vast tracts of forest . Explain how this practice offers the biodiversity of the forest and also the daily life of the local people

b) varied needs of local people like fodder for animal , herbs for medicines , fruits and nuts for food for animals , could no longer be met.
