Answer:

After a meditation session i usually feel very centered, and i also get a feeling of serenity especially after longer meditation sessions. Daniele O. Meditation helps me to put things into order in my mind. Creates peace within self, allows me to reassess things and get things right with others if I have to.

There are different types of meditation so there are slightly different feelings one may experience after meditating. It also may depend on how long you meditate as feelings may deepen or last longer with more focused and prolonged sessions.

To keep things simple there are three distinct areas that I like to distinguish between. More proficient practitioners and teachers will like have much more detail, but I think complexity tends to discourage people from trying so I tend to teach simplicity:)

You can be guided toward a short term goal like sleep (the goal is to fall asleep) or anxiety (the goal is to walk yourself off the ledge quickly). You can be guided toward a longer term goal (confidence, execution, self love, wealth, etc…). Finally you may simply want unguided quiet relaxation where you listen to sounds or music while quieting your mind without any words to guide you.

All of these should give you feelings of calm, relaxation and serenity. The only difference should be the depth and levels of each. The more I practice all three, the more these feelings last after meditating and the more I am able to return quickly to these blissful states with simple breathing and simple short sessions.

I liken meditation to physical exercise for the mind. The more you practice, the better you get and the easier is is to reach a blissful quiet state with less time and effort.

hope it helps
